Final match! As men team 9th-16th place play-off draw to a conclusion - we play our final game against Trinidad and Tobago - in bid to secure 9th place in the World Championship. This will be our highest ever position in the World Championship to date. This will also be our first ever international match against Trinidad & Tobago.

Without warning, the FA board of Trustees and Committees had reached a decision not to provide funding towards the England Futsal Deaf squads which was bizarre considering that the men’s squad had qualified for European Deaf Championship at short notice.The move by the FA had completely devastated us for we would now be forced to self-fund should we enter prestigious futsal events in the near future.
However, the England Deaf Men’s Futsal teams represented the nation with pride in partaking in the 6th European Deaf Futsal Championship at Montesilvano, Italy on October 2022. The EDIF Men’s team has finished 7th for the first time in the history after Quarter Final.
As the journey in Montesilvano was completed, mens team qualified to participate in the World Deaf Championship, in November 2023 in São Paulo, Brazil. We need to 'self-fund' ourselves to enable England to take their rightful place in this prestigious World Deaf Championships. In this respect, we would need funding support on an enormous scale to cover the costs of the elite competition
